University Research reveals how Canadian Small Businesses are implementing Sustainability
Small and Medium Enterprises make up 98.2 per cent of all businesses in Canada, signifying an enormous potential in advancing environmental health and social wellbeing in our communities. According to a survey carried out by the University of Waterloo, eight out of ten Canadian small and medium enterprises surveyed are already implementing sustainable business practices.
Access Bank awarded for its Malaria to Zero Initiative
GBC Health in collaboration with John Hopkins University awards Access Bank the Innovation in Malaria Financing award for its Malaria to Zero initiative. Malaria to Zero is a health initiative geared towards preventing malaria and saving lives of people living in suburb and underprivileged environments across Nigeria and Africa at large. The other awardees include ExxonMobil, Aliko Dangote Foundation.

In a recent meeting with the Vice President of Transsions Holdings, the parent company of Tecno Mobile, it was revealed that Nigeria had provided the largest market in Africa for the organization regardless of the challenges caused by fluctuating foreign exchange.
National Walk to Work Day 2018
Today the 6th of April, 2018 marks the Walk to work day. The National Walk to Work Day was created to bring awareness to the importance of exercising and keeping fit. However the essence of the day is not solely based on physical and emotional health of human beings but also the health of the planet as a whole. Prevention magazine promoted this holiday in 2004 and it was immediately adopted by the US Department of Health and Human services.
