The University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana has announced its International Conference on Climate Change and Sustainable Development in Africa (ICCCSDA) with the aim of producing the next generation of thought leaders to drive national development.
The conference seeks to bring together academics, practitioners, policymakers and students to explore ways to strengthen Africa’s adaptive capacity to sustain development gains.
The theme of the conference is: ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Development: Strengthening Africa’s Adaptive Capacity.’ The discourse will be focused on tackling the global upsurge of climate-induce hazards which threaten human life and property.
A major objective of the ICCCSDA is to create a platform for knowledge sharing which will inform decision-making in climate sensitive areas such as natural resources, energy, agriculture, food and water sources.
