#CleanerLagos: Apply to be a Community Sanitation Worker

‘The Cleaner Lagos Initiative’ is an all-inclusive approach initiated by the administration of Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos state Nigeria, to address the inefficiencies in the state’s current system and identify, develop and implement concepts and solutions that address the challenges faced with unsafe sources of water, food and energy, climate change, air pollution, improper waste management practices, and debilitating utilities infrastructure.

In the bid towards implementing a new operative environmental policy which was signed in March, the state government has assembled a consortium of globally reputable companies led by Visionscape, to manage waste collection and disposal, using ultra-modern facilities. Also, the initiative promises to provide 27,500 jobs thereby impacting on other areas of the economy.

To this end, Community Sanitation Workers (CSW), are need to achieve the objectives of the #CleanerLagos initiative. Some of the benefits of being a CSW include:
• Earning above the minimum wage
• Free Tax
• Health, life, accident & injury insurance benefits
