Booz Allen Hamilton’s Rising Leaders Forum (RLF), an employee group dedicated to helping young professionals become leaders, has partnered with the Millennial Engagement Conference, known simply as MCON, in this year’s edition of its annual conference.
MCON is an annual three-day conference which gathers leaders, social activists and entrepreneurs from around the globe. Together, the group generates ideas and develops creative solutions to today’s toughest challenges. This year’s DC-based conference which held on June 23 had RLF host a reception for MCON participants at the firm’s new DC Innovation Center.
According to Chase Tralka, a Booz Allen Associate, RLF aims to help young professionals at the firm develop their careers through networking, professional development, and community service. He went further to say that MCON’s goals align perfectly with the role RLF plays at Booz Allen for millennials and all young professionals. He described the partnership as an excellent way to further advance their shared aspirations.
Booz Allen’s Director of Brand, Michael Dumlao, also spoke to conference attendees about the importance of diversity, acceptance, and creating safe spaces for people of all backgrounds. He said that it is important to use the transformative power in their grasp to change the world so that the world itself is a safe space where everyone is free to be who they are.
