International conference exploring African media development and sustainability is making a call for papers. The conference, titled News Media Development and Sustainability in Africa is scheduled to hold on 22nd and 23rd October 2016.
The conference is organized by the ‘Academy and Journalism and Media & Enterprise Institute’ of the University of Neuchâtel and ‘Fondation Hirondelle’, a Media for Peace and Human Dignity dedicated to ensuring the right to information in Switzerland.
The aim of the conference is to expose the development of the media in different parts of Africa while discussing the challenges faced in these different parts. During the conference, factors that will aid the financial and human capital gaps and uphold long-term impact of international support on media sustainability will also be discussed. Also, impact of support to media development in Africa on Western media will be considered at the conference.
Best papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of Journal of Media Business Studies.
