Busan Metropolitan City jointly with the National Information Society Agency (NIA) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will organize “The 3rd Young ICT Leaders’ Forum” which will be held during 7‐ 9 September 2016 at BEXCO, Exhibition Center 1 in Busan, Republic of Korea
The ICT Leaders forum has been created to uncover the best solutions and future steps towards ICT excellence. The role of CIOs and CTOs, Heads of Technology and IT Leaders is evolving rapidly. Responsibilities now extend far beyond IT troubleshooting to include a complete overhaul of business processes enabling institutions and SMEs to compete digitally.
Busan Global Smart Cities Challenge is under auspices of the third Young ICT Leaders’ Forum 2016, and is jointly organized by Busan City and ITU. Busan Global Smart Cities Challenge is a competition open for young people to present their innovative ideas on harnessing the power of digital technologies in making a city smarter, safer, and friendlier to environment thereby improving quality of life of the citizens. Winners of the competition will be offered an opportunity and travel support to participate in the ITU Telecom World 2016 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand during 14–17 November 2016.
