MORE AID FOR SMEs FROM BARCLAYS BANK

The Barclays bank has expressed its intention to open twenty (20) Eagle Labs, in order to encourage innovation and also help start-ups to scale hurdles.

Barclays is progressively encouraging innovation and assisting start-ups to move on through the opening of its third Eagle Labs. The third Eagle Lab was opened in Brighton with the first and second in Bournemouth and Cambridge respectively.

The new Lab has been set up to provide access to resources like mentoring, event space and so on thereby helping UK start-ups to have rapid and crucial boost. The Labs have the incubators for high growth firms, and the makerspaces, that will give businesses access to tools they need rapidly and obviously at cheaper rates.

The CEO of Barclays UK, Ashok Vaswani, believes that these labs are essential to the growth of start-ups. The latest indices from Barclays and BGF entrepreneurs show that the number of start-ups in relations to other businesses is at 3.86 percent nationally, which is the highest so far for the last three years.
