#Opportunities: Applications for the 2018 Health Meets Tech now Open

Health Meets Tech is a three-day (May 18th to May 21st) Hackathon designed by EpiAfric and PandemicTech in partnership with Tech Ranch, Nigeria Health Watch, Pharmacies Nigeria and Ventures Platform to create technology-centered solutions for health. This Hackathon will create a platform for health workers in the area of infectious diseases to work with developers from the tech ecosystem to develop solutions for Prevention, surveillance, notification and response to infectious diseases.

Health workers such as Disease Surveillance and Notification Officers (DSNOs), State Epidemiologists, Immunization Officers, Clinicians, Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), Laboratory Scientists, Pharmacists and Doctors working in various levels of healthcare delivery in Nigeria as well as Tech and business individuals are welcome to participate.  Participants must submit their applications in teams of not more than 5. Each team must comprise of at least one Health practitioner working within the Infectious disease space. Teams will be requested to build financially viable prototypes of technological solutions that could be implemented in the health sector to improve disease surveillance and notification.

Cash Prizes: First Prize – N700,000, Second Prize – N500,000, Third Prize – N350,000
