#Opportunities: Call for Paper- UNAOC Calls for Young Peacebuildersg

The United Nations Alliance of Civilisation (UNAOC) has launched the Call for Application for the Young Peacebuilders in West Africa programme on the August 12, 2016 (International Youth Day). The call is open to participants between 18-25 years old from West Africa who have interest in developing their ability to act as agents of peace in their community, region and beyond.

The programme is part of UNAOC’s educational programming for young people. The aim of the programme is to support the growth of networks of young peacebuilders who are equipped with the tools to address stereotypes, prejudice and polarize in order to build more inclusive and peaceful societies in their communities and globally.

The selected participants will undergo a 12-week course, which will involve online interaction on different modules and a 1-week workshop in Abuja. Participants will learn about other cultures, faiths, stereotypes, conflicts and social inclusion.

Deadline for submission is August 31st, 2016.
