With the aim of identifying promising new solutions and uses for waste packaging materials, in particular glass, Ab InBev in partnership with SABMiller, has launched the AbInBev Sustainability Challenge.
The initiative which is part of the organisation’s 2025 sustainability goals, will enable 25 innovators behind the best submissions travel to South Africa for an acceleration bootcamp.
Furthermore, in the next phase of the competition, the top 15 winners from the acceleration bootcamp in South Africa will each win a trip to Silicon Savannah in Kenya.
In addition, finalists will stand a chance to visit and compete at AB InBev’s global accelerator in New York.
The challenge is split across five focus areas:
- Smart agriculture,
- Water stewardship,
- Climate action,
- Circular packaging
Closing date is May 31, 2018.
