Prize Digital for Development (Prize D4D) is an initiative that rewards the use of digitisation and (new) technologies as a lever for development towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prize D4D seeks to reward applications on digitisation for development regardless of the individuals, teams or organisations behind the work.
Prize D4D consists of three categories namely the innovative idea, the success story and the public award called the ‘iChoose’, ‘iStartUp’ and ‘iStandOut’ respectively. Prize D4D offers all nominees the opportunity to increase their visibility and promote their projects internationally during the innovation fair and the award ceremony.
A winner will be selected for each of the three categories with the winners getting 25,000 euros, 10,000 euros and 5,000 euros for the ‘iStartUp’, ‘iStandOut’, and ‘iChoose’ categories respectively.
The competition is for everyone with a convincing project or innovative idea on ‘Digital for Development’.
