Freeport-McMoRan Foundation has given the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy & Non-profit Innovation a grant of $91,000 for capacity building of non-profit organizations in selected communities near the company’s U.S. mining operations
For the past seven years, the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy & Non-profit Innovation has partnered with Freeport-McMoRan to build the capacity of non-profit organizations in some communities. The partnership has allowed non-profit organizations additional access and assistance to help them become more sustainable through trainings and offerings.
Since 2009, the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation has provided more than $700,000 to the Lodestar Center.
Communities that will receive programming provided by the grant include: Bisbee, AZ; Ajo, AZ; Globe-Miami, AZ; Graham County, AZ; Greenlee County, AZ; Green Valley/Sahuarita, AZ; Climax, CO; Clear Creek County, CO; Grand County, CO; and Grant County, NM.
