South Africa leads with Green building Projects

Results have shown that South Africa is a top performer worldwide. The country currently has the highest green building projects with inspiration from the willingness to do the right thing. However, this nation believes that the green activity thus far achieved is but a foundation for an overall shift in the market.

Internationally, green certified buildings are proposed to be thirty-seven percent (37%) by 2018 whereas South Africa boasts of forty-one percent (41%) already. The Green Building Council South Africa’s (GBCSA) CEO says that South Africa will continue in this light, expecting sixty percent (60%) green project by 2018.

This is a clear sign that green building practices are getting more and more popular in South Africa, with an acknowledgement that this green projects also benefit the people apart from being innovative and world class.
