#ThrowbackThursday: Why African Businesses Need to Adopt Sustainable Capitalism

With Economic activities attributing to a huge chunk of environmental depletion, businesses need to take the fore front in ensuring responsible environmental practices. Businesses should view their performance not from just a financial point of view but also from a social and environment perspective. As firms strive to maximize profit, they should also strive to maximize their social and environmental responsibility. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that we protect ourselves, whether we get help from others or not.

It is practically impossible for businesses to work in a failing environment. Therefore it is imperative for future profitability that business leaders think of ways of reducing how much they contribute to the potential failure of the environment.
