Africa’s leading country in Sustainable development, South Africa, will be hosting the Third Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD3) which is a representation of a two-year planning process on consultation both for the nation and the region. The aim of the conference is to ensure that research priorities are reorganized with the peculiar country’s need as it relates to development and also to ensure compatibility with the Sustainable development Goals (SDGs).
The event will convene stakeholders to ensure commitment to the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development and also to deliberate on the utilization of agri-food researches and innovations. It is expected that after the event, there will be a consensus on how to achieve sustainable agricultural; development without anyone lagging.
The event, which will hold on the 5th to 8th April 2016 at Guateng South Africa, is being hosted by the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR), the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Agricultural Research Council of South Africa.
